2012...... A New Year with new beginnings

Happy New Year!!! I know that I have not done a great job keeping this blog up to date but with any
new year comes new beginnings. I am working on updating the portfolio and I have already updated the new pricing and session offerings for this year. It is going to be a great year and what fun 2012 will be. I look forward to seeing returning clients and meeting new ones. Thanks to all of my clients for a wonderful and busy 2011.

Boys,Boys,Boys!!!

 It's been a while since I have posted on the blog and decided that this sweet family of three boys was the perfect way to revive the blog. I met with the "I" family on Saturday evening and thankfully it wasn't to hot and a nice breeze. We had a lot of fun and the older brothers were so full of energy. The star of the show is little Justin. He is almost two months old and was just the most relaxed and calm baby. Justin's big brothers, Jason and Jordan, love him so much. I am so excited for mom and dad to see the pics. They are just precious. Thank you for a wonderful time and look forward to seeing you again when little man is older.

 

For the Love of Thomas the Tank Engine

This handsome little fellow is turning 2 and he loves Thomas the Tank Engine. Mom had a train conductor's costume ready for this fun photo shoot. I promised Mom that the session would last no more than 30 minutes and we finished in 20 minutes. Mr. E was a trooper in the heat and I loved the expressions on his face. Take a look at the beautiful lashes on this sweet face. Happy 2nd Birthday E!!!!

Taking the Next Step

College graduation is the signal of the next step that young people take in their lives. I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful young lady this morning. Humidity was horrible but Beth was a trooper and boy did we capture some incredible shots. While I was editing these few for a sneak peek, the one thing I kept saying to myself was, WOW look at her eyes. Beth, I hope that you enjoy these pictures, they are just a few of my favorites!!!  I had a blast hanging out with you.

Just Sweetness!!!

Little Miss A is just 9 days old and was a trooper for her session. I loved that she was very alert and very aware when momma would put her down. Once we found her comfy spot, "A" was really working the camera. Mom and Nanny, I hope that you enjoy the sneak peek!!

A Walk in the Park

It was a beautiful morning and the temperatures were just so perfect. My family and I have been on vacation in Chicago and took some time out for a quick photo session with the kids. The shoot was planned for an early evening earlier in the week but rain put a damper on that plan. A few hours before we needed to be at the airport to leave, Matt suggested we head down to Grant Park in downtown Chicago to capture some pictures. The lighting was not  my favorite but I think I got some great shots that speak volumes about each of their personalities.

Young and Hip

I had a blast with this couple. It was fun to see their different perspectives of how they wanted their family pictures to look. Josh wanted edgy and out there, while Jonna was looking for urban and classic portraits. We were able to accomplish both. Their sweet pups, Axel and Coco, came along for the ride. Thanks guys for a great evening, even the rain didn't put a damper on it. Enjoy your sneak peeks!
