For the Love of Thomas the Tank Engine

This handsome little fellow is turning 2 and he loves Thomas the Tank Engine. Mom had a train conductor's costume ready for this fun photo shoot. I promised Mom that the session would last no more than 30 minutes and we finished in 20 minutes. Mr. E was a trooper in the heat and I loved the expressions on his face. Take a look at the beautiful lashes on this sweet face. Happy 2nd Birthday E!!!!

Taking the Next Step

College graduation is the signal of the next step that young people take in their lives. I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful young lady this morning. Humidity was horrible but Beth was a trooper and boy did we capture some incredible shots. While I was editing these few for a sneak peek, the one thing I kept saying to myself was, WOW look at her eyes. Just Sweetness!!!

Little Miss A is just 9 days old and was a trooper for her session. I loved that she was very alert and very aware when momma would put her down. Once we found her comfy spot, "A" was really working the camera. Mom and Nanny, I hope that you enjoy the sneak peek!!

A Walk in the Park

It was a beautiful morning and the temperatures were just so perfect. My family and I have been on vacation in Chicago and took some time out for a quick photo session with the kids. The shoot was planned for an early evening earlier in the week but rain put a damper on that plan. A few hours before we needed to be at the airport to leave, Matt suggested we head down to Grant Park in downtown Chicago to capture some pictures. The lighting was not  my favorite but I think I got some great shots that speak volumes about each of their personalities.

Young and Hip

I had a blast with this couple. It was fun to see their different perspectives of how they wanted their family pictures to look. Josh wanted edgy and out there, while Jonna was looking for urban and classic portraits. We were able to accomplish both. Their sweet pups, Axel and Coco, came along for the ride. An Outdoor Wedding

Weddings are so fun and especially when I have the opportunity to photograph the special day. This bride has been a long time friend, who holds a very special place in my family's life. Natalie has been there for us and it was my pleasure to be there for her on her wedding day. Scott is a fortunate guy to have found Natalie and the same for her. She has waited patiently for the man God intended for her. Love you both very much and wish you both much love and blessings in your new marriage. Enjoy the sneak peeks!!

Sweet Anticipation!

I have known this expectant momma since she was in high school. It is fun to watch young adults marry and then start a family. This sweet little one will be joining the world in June and we wanted to capture the aniticipation of his arrival. I am so looking forward to meeting Mr. J in a few weeks and I know his parents and all extended family are too!

The Graduate

I remember my graduation from high school like it was yesterday. The frenzy of announcements, renting the cap and gown and getting the portraits made for the yearbook. College was also a big step forward too! This young man is well on his way to making the next big step. Loved our time together TJ and look forward to hearing about your new adventures!
